I'm a musician with a classical degree in voice, though right now I mostly play Irish traditional music on the harp, guitar, and uilleann bagpipes. My new Irish band is pretty awesome: we don't want to dominate the world, but we're so amazing it might just happen anyway ;)

I'm a geek (LOTR, Dr. Who, all the usual suspects) and am recovering from a 5 1/2 year relationship. I spend an inordinate amount of time knitting and riding around town on my bicycle, further cementing my status as 'spinster'.

I enjoy the company of my dogs and cats, and I'm trying to understand this place called "The Midwest."

Oh, and I get a little crazy for my college alma mater during football season (ok, I'll admit it: I was a band geek).

Currently I work at a university and I'm pursuing a graduate degree in Music Therapy. And before you ask, yes, it is a real field.
